Gleiss Lutz has advised the Spanish Saica Group (“Saica”), one of Europe’s leading paper and packaging manufacturers, on its acquisition of the German THIMM Group GmbH + Co. KG (“Thimm”), a leading provider of sustainable corrugated packaging and display solutions.
Saica, headquartered in Zaragoza, currently operates 112 sites across Spain, France, Italy, Portugal, the United Kingdom, Ireland, Turkey, Luxembourg, the Netherlands, Poland, and the United States. In 2025, the family-owned company generated revenue of approximately EUR 3.962 billion with more than 12,000 employees.
