Simon advises national and international clients in particular from the US and Asia on all aspects of data and digital regulation. This includes data protection and cybersecurity as well as data commercialisation and rules for digital services. He regularly advises companies on the handling of cyber-attacks and other cybersecurity incidents. Another focus of his work is data protection and data regulatory advice in M&A transactions.
Simon studied law at Humboldt-University Berlin. He has been with Gleiss Lutz since 2017. During his legal training, Simon worked for an international law firm in Brussels. From 2023 to 2024, he was seconded to the leading Japanese law firm Nagashima & Ohno Tsunematsu.
He is a member of the International Association of Privacy Professionals (IAPP) and the Association of German and Japanese Jurists (DJJV).
Simon speaks German and English.
