We are very pleased that our advisory work for NeXtWind on a EUR 1.4 billion repowering refinancing has been named "European Power Deal of the Year 2025" by PFI Magazine.
Gleiss Lutz has provided comprehensive advice to NeXtWind, which also included a fundamental structural reorganization of the NeXtWind Group. Gleiss Lutz had previously advised Sandbrook Capital on the acquisition of NeXtWind by a consortium with other investors in 2023.
NeXtWind is a leading renewable energy provider with offices in Berlin and London. Since its founding in 2020, the company has focused on acquiring and optimizing existing wind farms ('repowering'). It currently operates 37 onshore wind farms and has a total repowering capacity of around 1.4 GW. The company aims to increase its total generation capacity to 3 GW by 2028.
