Gleiss Lutz appoints four new partners and four new counsel

Gleiss Lutz has announced the appointment of four new partners and four new counsel effective 1 January 2024.

The new partners are Dr. Enno Burk (Public Business Law, Berlin), Dr. Matthias Werner (IP/Tech, Munich), Dr. Olaf Hohlefelder (Private Equity, London) and Dr. Moritz Alexander Riesener (M&A, Munich).

Dr. Claudia Krapfl (Dispute Resolution, Stuttgart), Mischa Krumm (IP/Tech, Düsseldorf), Dr. Manuel Klar (Data Protection, Munich) and Dr. Lars Kindler (Public Business Law, Düsseldorf) have been promoted to counsel.

In Regulatory & Litigation, new partner Dr. Enno Burk will be joining the Life Sciences team. He advises on pharmaceuticals, medical device law and healthcare compliance with a special focus on digitalisation of the healthcare system. Dr. Claudia Krapfl specialises in arbitration and cross-border litigation. She regularly represents clients in national and international arbitration proceedings. Mischa Krumm advises on intellectual property, specialising in patent litigation and out-of-court patent advice. Dr. Manuel Klar will continue to drive developments in the firm’s Data Protection practice. His focus is on advising domestic and international businesses on data protection compliance, data protection structures and data regulation.

In Transactions, Dr. Matthias Werner advises clients on corporate transactions in the IP, IT and commercial arenas. He has a long and successful track record on cross-border transactions, carve-outs, joint ventures and complex licensing agreements. Working from the firm’s London office, Dr. Olaf Hohlefelder advises clients on national and international private equity and venture capital transactions. He has extensive expertise in large and mid-cap private equity transactions. He also has many years of experience in the corporate/M&A sector. Dr. Moritz Alexander Riesener specialises in advising on national and international M&A deals, in particular complex carve-out transactions. Dr. Lars Kindler has extensive experience in advising on public business law, in particular on planning, approval and environmental law issues relating to complex energy and infrastructure projects as well as transactions in highly regulated industries.
