Matthias has been working extensively in the field of restructuring for years. He has particular expertise in the areas of judicial and extrajudicial restructuring, insolvency law, StaRUG procedures, distressed M&A transactions and insolvency-related corporate law. Matthias has particular expertise in cross border restructurings.
Matthias studied at the University of Tübingen. He has been a partner at Gleiss Lutz since 2015. In 2008 he worked at a law firm in New York.
He is member of the German-American Lawyers’ Association (DAJV), the International Bar Association (IBA), INSOL Europe (IE) and TMA Deutschland.
Matthias speaks German and English.
