Gleiss Lutz advises Bosch and Mahle on the sale of their joint venture Bosch Mahle Turbo Systems (BMTS)

Gleiss Lutz advised the Bosch Group and the MAHLE Group on the sale of the joint venture Bosch Mahle Turbo Systems (BMTS) to FountainVest. The parties have agreed not to disclose the purchase price. The transaction is subject to approval by the respective antitrust authorities.  

With a total of around 1,300 employees, BMTS develops and produces turbochargers for a number of renowned manufacturers of passenger and utility vehicles. BMTS has two sites in Germany (Stuttgart and Blaichach) as well as production plants in St. Michael, Austria and Shanghai, China.  

Gleiss Lutz advised extensively on the transaction and coordinated an international team of advisors in China and Austria.  

In the Bosch Group’s legal department the transaction was primarily handled by Dr. Holger Fröhlich, Dr. Ulrich Zeller and Matthias Geiger.

For the MAHLE Group’s legal department, the transaction was coordinated by Jörg Kiefer and Dr. Matthias Zick.
