Gleiss Lutz advises Schaltbau Holding on the sale of GEZ Rail Solutions GmbH

​A Gleiss Lutz team has advised Schaltbau Holding AG on the sale of GEZ (Gesellschaft für elektrische Zugausrüstung) Rail Solutions GmbH to a group of investors consisting of Nord West Management GmbH and Niederrheinische Beteiligungsgesellschaft mbH. The transaction is expected to close before the end of 2022. The parties have agreed not to disclose the purchase price or any further details of the transaction.

With Schaltbau Holding AG looking to streamline its business portfolio, it is now following up the sale of SBRS Charging Solutions to Shell Deutschland GmbH in October of this year – a transaction that Gleiss Lutz also advised on – with the sale of GEZ Rail Solutions GmbH, the second company to emerge from the former SBRS GmbH.

With annual sales in the region of EUR 525 million and around 3,000 employees, Schaltbau Holding AG is an internationally leading supplier of systems and components for transportation technology and the capital goods industry.
