For the ninth consecutive year ERA will organise the State Aid Forum. This forum provides a unique platform for discussion, exchange of views and experience between various players - both private and institutional - involved in this field. The aim is to examine developments since last year and to promote debate through expert input on topical subjects of public interest.The latest developments in European state aid policy and the case law of the Community courts will be a major subject of this year's forum. Particular attention will be drawn to the attempts of the European Commission to bring state aid policy into line with the Lisbon Strategy. The rules on services of general economic interest are also of major public concern, in particular in terms of the financing of public broadcasting corporations. Equally, regional state aid and the interaction of taxation and state aid are very much on the agenda.
