Ulrich is based for nearly 30 years in our Brussels office. He advises on European antitrust and state aid law, as well as on merger control, FSR and general European law. His clients include German and foreign companies as well as public bodies, which he represents before the European Commission and national competition authorities. Ulrich has litigated more than 70 cases before the Courts of the European Union. He has been recognized by numerous publications and directories.

Vita

Ulrich studied in Freiburg and Brussels (LL.M. 1996). He has been a partner at Gleiss Lutz since 2002. Prior to joining the firm, he worked as a research assistant at the University of Freiburg. He has published many articles on competition and state aid issues and contributed to a number of books on these topics. He is frequently invited as an expert to speak at various international conferences and is the co-editor of the European Journal of Business Law (EuZW) as well as of the New Journal of Antitrust Law (NZKart).

Ulrich is a non-governmental advisor to the International Competition Network (ICN) and a member of various associations, including the Berlin State Aid Forum (chairman), the IBA, the ABA and the Association for the Study of Antitrust Law.

Ulrich speaks German, English and French.
