Gleiss Lutz has successfully advised Masdar PV GmbH in a state aid procedure before the European Commission and the national authorities.
Masdar PV GmbH will set up a new plant to manufacture large-size solar modules based on thin film technology. As part of an integrated solar energy system, solar modules allow sunlight to be converted into electricity. The investment volume amounts to EUR 143 million with an aid amount of EUR 28 million. The Commission has now approved the aid package.
The case was handled by Dr. Ulrich Soltész (partner, EU State aid, Brussels), Dr. Burghard Hildebrandt (partner, Regulatory and State aid, Berlin), Dr. Michael Marquardt (partner, Taxation, Frankfurt) and Dr. Johann Wagner (Taxation, Berlin). Gleiss Lutz is an established key-player in the field of national and EU State aid.
