In the field of healthcare law, she regularly advises on issues relating to statutory health insurance, medical devices, pharmaceuticals, and medical professional law.

Vita

Sophie studied and earned her doctorate at Heidelberg University. In 2022, she completed an LL.M. at Harvard Law School (USA), specializing in healthcare law. She has been an attorney at Gleiss Lutz since 2025. Prior to joining Gleiss Lutz, Sophie worked in several international law firms focusing on healthcare and life sciences. She also gained experience at the European Commission in Brussels in the Directorate for Pharmaceutical and Medical Device Safety, as well as at national regulatory authorities. From 2016 to 2025, Sophie was a research associate at the Chair for Medical and Corporate Law at Heidelberg University held by Professor Dr. Stefan J. Geibel.

Since 2019, she has been a member of the interdisciplinary research group on fiduciary duties at Heidelberg University.

Sophie is fluent in German, English, and French.
