Gleiss Lutz advises N A S Invest on acquisition of “Spreeturm” landmark project in Berlin
Gleiss Lutz has advised N A S Invest on its acquisition of the Spreeturm office scheme in Berlin. The real estate and asset management firm acquired the new build construction project from the DWI Group as part of an off-market transaction.
The 20-storey office high-rise is located inside the new Mediaspree urban quarter in the immediate vicinity of the Ostbahnhof railway station and the historic Postbahnhof mail railway terminal building. On a gross leasable area of about 13,500 m², the property will provide highly presentable office accommodation that will lend itself to flexible use, supplemented by restaurant units on the ground floor plus car parking spots and storage areas in the basement. The building is scheduled to be completed during the course of 2020.
The Spreeturm is the area’s urban development landmark. Centrally located on both banks of the Spree between Ostbahnhof and Warschauer Straße, a modern and mixed-use district is being developed over a space of approx. 180 hectares, with areas for working, living, gastronomy, shopping and leisure. It is already home to major companies such as BASF, Zalando, Daimler, Coca-Cola and Universal Music.
