Gleiss Lutz advises H.I.G. Europe in connection with the acquisition of a majority interest in Infratech Bau

​A Gleiss Lutz-Team advised H.I.G. Europe in connection with the acquisition of a majority interest in Infratech Bau GmbH. The parties have agreed not to disclose the purchase price. Closing of the transaction is subject to the customary regulatory clearances. The founders and managing directors of Infratech, Gregor Klaßen and Andreas Muchall, will remain in their management positions and retain a material share in the company.

Infratech, which was formed in Meppen in 2007, is one of the leading general contractors for glass fibre civil engineering. The company constructs complex FTTH networks on behalf of public and private operators and has 75 highly qualified employees and a well-established and reliable partner network. In recent years, Infratech has achieved strong growth by connecting several thousand households and companies in northern and western Germany to high-speed internet. The expansion of FTTH networks as an attractive market offers considerable opportunities for growth and is further driven by the German government's aim to provide the majority of German households with high-speed internet in the next few years.
