The German-American Lawyers’ Association has more than 3,000 members who take a special interest in the two legal systems, their influence on each other, their comparison, and current trends. Our mission is to create and maintain the interest in the two systems of law and to increase transatlantic cooperation and partnership. The annual conference in Washington will bring together students, scholars and practitioners from both the United States and Germany. The venue of the conference will be the impressive law center facility of Georgetown University, just a few blocks away from the US Capitol. Among the highlights of the program is a visit to the US Supreme Court and a speech presented by Supreme Court Justice Antonin Scalia.
