As announced yesterday, Beteiligungsgesellschaft des Landes Nordrhein-Westfalen and state development bank NRW-Bank sold approx. 92% of shares in LEG Landesentwicklungsgesellschaft Nordrhein-Westfalen GmbH (LEG), valued at EUR 3.5 billion, to Whitehall in a bidding procedure.
A team of Gleiss Lutz lawyers extensively advised Irish bidder Tomkin Group in this procedure. Tomkin Group was among the final three bidders in the auction and had chosen an innovative structure for its offer, which was based on Britain’s successful housing model.
