Gleiss Lutz advises Ritter Sport on using artificial intelligence and launching NFT collection

A Gleiss Lutz team has advised confectioners Alfred Ritter GmbH & Co. KG on using artificial intelligence and launching Ritter Sport's first NFT collection.

Gleiss Lutz advised the company on legal and strategic aspects of using artificial intelligence and specific AI applications, in particular on updating Ritter's in-house policies.

Gleiss Lutz also advised Ritter on the launch of its first NFT collection. For its initial foray into the metaverse, the company is using Ethereum blockchain technology to sell its digital collectibles. These sold out less than eight hours after public sales commenced on 24 August 2023. Gleiss Lutz has provided comprehensive legal and strategic support on the NFT launch from its inception.

In-house, Ritter Sport's NFT launch was handled by Raphael Rozsa (Legal Adviser and Chief Compliance Officer), Lena Schenk (Head of Innovation Management), Niko Hetzel (Design & Creative Specialist) and Norman Schmidt (Global Brand Manager).

Gleiss Lutz regularly advises clients on AI use as well as successfully implementing metaverse projects and Web3 applications. Gleiss Lutz opened its own office in the metaverse in 2022.
