Gleiss Lutz advises De Rigo on its acquisition of Rodenstock’s eyewear division

​Gleiss Lutz has advised the Italian De Rigo Group on its acquisition of the Rodenstock Group's eyewear division. The transaction is expected to be completed towards the end of the second quarter of 2023. 

The Rodenstock Group is a leading global manufacturer of high-quality lenses and innovative products for eye health. Headquartered in Munich, the company employs 5,100 staff worldwide and has sales offices and distribution partners in over 85 countries. Rodenstock also has production sites at 14 locations in 13 countries. By selling its eyewear division, Rodenstock intends to reposition itself as a leading medtech company in eye health.
