Gleiss Lutz has advised Commerzbank AG on the refinancing of the syndicated loan of Flughafen Berlin Brandenburg GmbH (FBB) for Berlin Brandenburg Airport (BER).
The new financing, amounting to EUR 1.2 billion and running for five years, will be used to prematurely repay guaranteed liabilities incurred for the construction of BER.
Commerzbank, together with NORD/LB Norddeutsche Landesbank, is leading a twelve-member consortium of German, European and international institutions, comprising both commercial banks as well as regional and development banks.
