JUVE Awards 2021: Gleiss Lutz named Law Firm of the Year for Antitrust Law

At this year's JUVE Awards on 28 October 2021, Gleiss Lutz has been honoured as Law Firm of the Year for antitrust law.

In addition to the groundbreaking matters in the digital sector, JUVE highlights the successful promotion of young talent within the antitrust practice: "Facebook and, for the first time, Apple does not rely on US law firms in major novel proceedings of the Kartellamt, but on Gleiss Lutz. What also sets the firm apart from its direct competitors is its sustained talent development," the laudation reads.

"To be named Law Firm of the Year for Antitrust is a great recognition," said Dr Petra Linsmeier, Head of the antitrust practice. "In recent years, our great team has not only maintained our leading position in the market, but we have also further developed the practice in many promising areas, in particular digital antitrust law. Therefore, we are very happy to be honoured with the JUVE Award for Antitrust Law for the third time, after 2010 and 2013."

Prof. Dr. Michael Arnold and Dr. Alexander Schwarz, Co-Managing Partners at Gleiss Lutz, commented: "Being named Law Firm of the Year for Antitrust is a great achievement. It confirms we are on the right track: Not only providing excellent comprehensive legal advice to our clients, but also positioning the firm for future-oriented trends and developing our team are key factors of our success. Seeing this recognised by our clients and the industry is more than just praise – it is our motivation."

The JUVE Awards are seen as one of the most important industry awards on the German legal market. For the selection of the award winners, the JUVE bases its decision on surveys of clients, competitors, young legal professionals and judges. Apart from outstanding expertise, criteria include the strategic focus, client orientation and business prospects of the firms and individual practices.
