Gleiss Lutz advises joint venture of Europi and Silverton on acquisition of Düsseldorf “Silizium” office building

A Gleiss Lutz team has advised a joint venture of the Swedish real estate investment company Europi Property Group (Europi) and the investment and asset manager Silverton Group (Silverton) on the acquisition of its first property, the “Silizium" office building in Düsseldorf-Heerdt. The seller was an investment vehicle managed by Amundi Real Estate.

“Silizium" comprises around 15,400 square metres of office space, all of which is used by an international company as its European headquarters. The centrally located office property was built in 2014 on a site of approximately 7,000 square metres and enjoys DGNB Silver certification.

The objective of the joint venture between Europi and Silverton, which was established at the end of 2021, is to build up a portfolio of high-quality office properties with a gross asset value (GAV) of at least EUR 200 million over the next twelve months. The joint venture's investments will concentrate on properties in and around the seven largest German cities as well as on select 'B' cities with growth potential.

Europi and Silverton were advised by the following team of Gleiss Lutz lawyers: Dr. Johannes Niewerth (lead, partner, Hamburg), Dr. Jonas Rybarz (counsel, Berlin, both Real Estate), Dr. Burkhard Jäkel (partner, Banking & Finance, Frankfurt), Dr. Lars Kindler, Aylin Hoffs, Tatjana Schmidt (all Public Law, Düsseldorf), Lesley Milde (Hamburg) and Fabienne Mochow (Berlin, both Real Estate).
