Gleiss Lutz advises the Swiss energy group Alpiq on the sale of its industrial business to Bouygues Construction

Gleiss Lutz has been advising the Alpiq Group, a leading Swiss energy services provider and electricity producer, on the sale of its industrial business. The purchaser is the French building company Bouygues Construction, which is taking over InTec und Kraftanlagen Gruppe for a purchase price of 850 million CHF. Closing of the transaction is planned for the latter half of 2018 and is still subject to customary regulatory clearances.

By selling its Engineering Services business, the Swiss energy provider Alpiq will be able to focus on its core business: power production Switzerland and Europe, international energy trading as well as on customer business and digitalization. The Alpiq Group's registered office is in Lausanne. The company is listed on the Swiss SIX exchange and employs around 8,500 staff.

In an international team led by the Swiss law firm Homburger, Gleiss Lutz provided comprehensive advice on all aspects of German law.
