At “The Lawyer European Awards 2017” ceremony yesterday evening, Gleiss Lutz was awarded the title of “Law Firm of the Year: Germany”, prevailing over six other German contenders.
Dr. Alexander Schwarz, Co-Managing Partner of Gleiss Lutz, accepted the award in London: “We are thrilled to receive this honour. The award confirms once again that in the international arena, Gleiss Lutz is recognised as one of the leading full service business law firms. We work on an international basis every day and see it as confirmation of our ´leading independent´ approach.”
Along with innovative advisory approaches, notable clients and outstanding matters, the team of judges also considered in particular the growing importance of cross-border advisory services on the basis of an international strategy when selecting the award winners.
Gleiss Lutz has meanwhile built up an international network in 100 jurisdictions, which enables it to provide comprehensive advice on extremely complex international projects. The institutionalised form of the “International Legal Advisory Group” provides Gleiss Lutz with the ability to work together with the most suitable partners for each particular matter, flexibly and globally.
This was the eighth annual presentation of “The Lawyer European Awards”. Awards were given out in a total of 24 categories. Over 300 managing partners, partners and in-house counsel attended the ceremony in London.
