Gleiss Lutz helps Kühne+Nagel avoid fine in “blocktrains case” before the European Commission

The European Commission has imposed fines of almost EUR 50 million against members of the so-called blocktrains cartel. The decision, in which Gleiss Lutz’s client Kühne+Nagel was granted immunity from a fine for its timely cooperation with the Commission, dealt with collusion in the area of rail cargo services.

Kühne+Nagel was advised by the following team of Gleiss Lutz lawyers: Dr. Ulrich Denzel (partner, Stuttgart, lead), Dr. Jens Werner (Düsseldorf), Dr. Harald Weiß (Brussels).

Dr. Marc Pfeffer (Group General Counsel) was lead counsel for Kühne+Nagel.

Gleiss Lutz has been advising Kühne+Nagel for many years on antitrust issues.
