Gleiss Lutz and its Alliance partners move into new offices in Brussels

As from the beginning of 2007, the three Alliance partners Gleiss Lutz, Herbert Smith and Stibbe are now sharing offices in Brussels. They occupy the top floors of the Central Plaza office block (previously the “Lotto Tower”), one of the most modern and architecturally attractive office buildings in Brussels, right in the heart of the city between the Grande Place and the European Commission.

Dr. Martin Diller, Managing Partner at Gleiss Lutz, points out: “The move to the new, more prestigious offices not only underscores the increasing importance of our Brussels office, but also reflects the fact that the three Alliance partners are working closer together on day-to-day business. Our Alliance is not an alliance on paper, we actually put it into practice. As a result we are in an excellent position to deal with future developments at EU level and to face the challenges of the legal market in Brussels.”

Gleiss Lutz has been active in Brussels since 1987, making it one of the first German law firms to have its own offices in the Belgian capital. It is therefore in a position to represent the interests of its clients locally, especially in complex proceedings before the EC Commission. Since its foundation, the firm has specialised in cartel law and since the founding of the EC, also general EC law, in particular subsidy law.
