Gleiss Lutz advises Munich Re on the acquisition of insurtech apinity

​Munich Re has acquired 100% of the shares in apinity GmbH from Allianz subsidiary Syncier. The start-up supplies API solutions in the form of software as a service for the insurance industry's entire ecosystem. As part of the transaction, the team as well as the technology platform and business relationships of the former Syncier Marketplace were acquired by apinity. The parties agreed to keep the purchase price confidential.
