Gleiss Lutz advises InvestIndustrial on its acquisition of Louis Poulsen Lighting from Polaris Private Equity

Through its Investindustrial VI fund, InvestIndustrial has acquired Louis Poulsen Lighting A / S from Polaris Private Equity in an auction procedure. Gleiss Lutz provided advice on German law aspects of the transaction, which has a corporate value of DKK 1.5 billion (around EUR 201.3 million).

InvestIndustrial is a private financial holding company with its registered office in London, United Kingdom. The company was founded in 1990 from an industrial group. With raised fund capital of EUR 6.8 billion, it is one of the leading independent investment groups in Europe.

The Danish company Louis Poulsen is a high-end specialist in lighting, founded in 1874. Worldwide, it is a leading provider of architectural and decorative lighting in the professional and private lighting market, for both internal and external applications. Louis Poulsen has a global distribution network, with twelve subsidiaries and its own showrooms in Copenhagen, Stockholm, Miami, Helsinki, Vejen, Oslo, Los Angeles, Singapore, Tokyo and Düsseldorf.
