Claudia focuses on arbitration and cross-border litigation. She regularly acts as counsel in national and international arbitrations (in particular DIS and ICC) with an emphasis on post-M&A disputes, joint ventures, international construction law, energy law and general commercial law. She is also active as arbitrator.

Vita

Claudia studied at Davidson College in North Carolina as well as at the Universities of Saarbrücken, Tübingen and Leiden/Netherlands. She has been with Gleiss Lutz since 2004. Claudia’s doctoral thesis “Production of documents in international arbitration proceedings” was awarded the 1st prize by the German Institution of Arbitration in 2007/2008.

She is a member of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators (MCIArb), the German Institution of Arbitration (DIS), the Swiss Arbitration Association (ASA), the Austrian Arbitration Association (ArbAut), the London Court of International Arbitration (LCIA), the Arbitral Women Association as well as the German-American Lawyers’ Association (DAJV). Furthermore, she is a councillor at the LCIA European Users' Council and a member of the NAA-NAI-DIS working group to foster Dutch-German cooperation.

Claudia speaks German and English.
