Gleiss Lutz advises supervisory board of Volkswagen on revision of management structure

Gleiss Lutz has advised the supervisory board of Volkswagen AG on its extensive revision of the group's management structure.

In order to sustainably implement the new structure, there will be a number of changes on the Board of Management. Matthias Müller steps down as Chairman of the Board of Management by mutual agreement, effective immediately. At its meeting on Thursday, the Supervisory Board appointed Dr. Herbert Diess as his successor.

Gleiss Lutz also assists Volkswagen AG's supervisory board in dealing with the diesel matter and all related legal questions. For example, Gleiss Lutz advised the supervisory board not only at the 2016 and 2017 annual general meetings but also in connection with the settlement agreements in the US.
