Gleiss Lutz has advised E.ON SE, Düsseldorf, on the sale of its Italian solar plants to Italian infrastructure fund F2i.
E.ON has divested its Italian solar business to private financial investor F2i SGR. F2i has an impressive track record on the Italian solar market and is committed to the long-term future of the business.
The activities sold comprise a total generating capacity of 49 megawatt and consist of seven solar plants constructed between 2010 and 2013. The solar plants are located in areas with high irradiation and benefit from favourable solar regimes providing stable cash flows in the long-term. Approx. 70 percent of the capacity is installed on Sardinia. E.ON and F2i SGR have agreed not to disclose the purchase price. The purchase agreement was signed and closed on 19 February 2015.
