Gleiss Lutz advises Allianz on the sale of major real estate portfolio

Following the sale of one of its property portfolios to IVG in August 2007, Allianz Immobilien GmbH has now sold a further commercial real estate package comprising 190 office properties worth an estimated EUR 1.7 billion in a bidding procedure. The portfolio was purchased by subsidiaries of Whitehall Funds, real estate funds, held and managed by Goldman Sachs. Notarisation was on December 20, 2007, and closing slated for 2008.
