Gleiss Lutz advises Altimeter Capital on investment in AI start-up Parloa

A Gleiss Lutz team has advised the US investment company Altimeter Capital on an investment in the Berlin-based AI start-up Parloa. Parloa will receive a total of EUR 62 million in a series B financing round led by Altimeter Capital. 

Parloa, which was formed in 2017, has developed an AI-based platform for automating customer communications. It uses generative AI to conduct natural-sounding conversations, enabling it to handle a large number of customer inquiries quickly and automatically in more than 80 languages. The plan is to use the capital from the financing round to further advance Parloa’s product development and market entry in the US and other countries. 

Altimeter Capital is a leading technology-based investment firm known for investing in such companies as Meta, Microsoft, Nvidia, Uber and Snowflake. It manages a large number of investment funds and also serves as a partner for companies entering the market.
