FCO drops investigations against Gleiss Lutz client voestalpine

The Federal Cartel Office (FCO) has dropped investigations against three steel companies for alleged price fixing in the automotive and automotive supply industries. Gleiss Lutz worked closely with Austrian voestalpine AG in these proceedings, providing comprehensive legal advice.

On 28 February 2013 the FCO searched the premises of voestalpine’s German sales subsidiary in Munich and launched investigations. As the initial price fixing allegations were not confirmed during the course of investigations, these have now been officially closed.

voestalpine AG was represented by Dr. Ulrich Denzel (partner) and Dr. Carsten Klöppner (both lead), Dr. Jennifer Hattaß, Dr. Miriam Schmidt and Susann Markert (all competition/antitrust, Stuttgart).
