Strauss Coffee B.V has signed an usufruct agreement to operate the plant of Viva Coffee GmbH. Strauss Coffee B.V. will operate the plant for a term of five years with an extension option for another three years and has further been granted a call option to buy Viva Coffee GmbH. The deal is subject to approval by the financing banks of Viva Coffee GmbH.
Strauss Coffee B.V., a subsidiary of the listed company Strauss Group, is the world's fifth largest coffee company in terms of green coffee procurement. It intends to use the plant to produce freeze-dried coffee products for the international market, mainly for subsidiaries of Strauss.
