Marc advises on public economic law, in particular with regard to questions of regulatory, administrative, constitutional and European law as well as public liability. His practice focuses on the regulated industries, in particular the energy sector, including regulatory questions, planning and environmental law as well as all aspects of product compliance and liability including the associated current challenges such as connectivity, data protection and artificial intelligence. He regularly advises on regulatory requirements for product development and labelling as well as product recalls.
Vita
Marc studied at the universities of Würzburg and Cologne (Dr. iur. 2011). He has been with Gleiss Lutz since 2010. Marc's dissertation entitled “The Admissibility of Contractual Penalty Clauses in Urban Development Contracts in Connection with Large-Scale Retail Projects” was awarded the 2012 Doctoral Prize by the University of Cologne. He was awarded a scholarship by the German National Academic Foundation (2002 to 2007). In 2007 he was awarded the Wolfgang Kuhlen Prize by the Dr. Otto Schäfer Foundation. In 2016, he worked for a leading Canadian law firm in Toronto.
He is a member of the Society for Environmental Law (GfU), the German-Canadian Association (DKG) and of the German Bar Association’s Administrative Law Working Group (DAV). He is also a board member of the German branch of the International Nuclear Law Association (INLA). Regularly, he gives specialist lectures and is the author of numerous publications.
