Expertise

Hendrik advises on German and international tax law, with a special focus on VAT law. In particular, he advises on M&A and real estate transactions as well as on tax compliance including tax audits and tax court proceedings.

Vita
Hendrik completed his studies in Passau, Pavia, Italy and Berlin. He was admitted as a tax consultant in 2011. He has been with Gleiss Lutz since 2014, as well as from 2007 to 2012. From 2012 to 2014 he worked in a law firm specialising in VAT. In 2016 Hendrik Marchal was on secondment with an international law firm in London.

Hendrik is a regular contributor of the German journal Value Added Tax (Mehrwertsteuerrecht) and a member of the German VAT Forum (Umsatzsteuerforum) and the North German Insolvency Forum (Norddeutschen Insolvenzforum).

Hendrik speaks German and English.
