Expertise
Andreas advises on all aspects of German and European competition law with a focus on merger control, cartel investigations and private antitrust litigation. He has particular expertise in digital industries, especially with regard to media and platform-based business models.
Vita
Andreas studied law at the University of Bayreuth and the University of Nottingham (LL.M. 2009). Prior to joining Gleiss Lutz in 2018, he gained experience as a trainee at the German Federal Competition Authority (Bundeskartellamt) as well as with the Antitrust & Competition practices of leading international law firms in Brussels, Berlin and Munich. From 2015-2018 he worked as a research assistant to Prof. Dr. Heike Schweitzer at Freie Universität Berlin, where he also taught German and European competition law.
He is a member of the Association for the Study of Antitrust Law (Studienvereinigung Kartellrecht e.V.) as well as the German-British Lawyers' Association (Deutsch-Britische Juristenvereinigung e.V.).
Andreas speaks German, English and French.
