Gleiss Lutz advises on the joint venture of Sumitomo Heavy Industries Process Equipment and STC-Engineering

A team of Gleiss Lutz lawyers has advised Sumitomo Heavy Industries Process Equipment Co., Ltd., a subsidiary of Sumitomo Heavy Industries, Ltd., in connection with a joint venture with STC-Engineering GmbH. The aim is to expand the existing cooperation and appear together as contractors for major projects in the complex sector of plant engineering, notably in the area of mechanical mixing systems.

Sumitomo Heavy Industries is a listed Japanese company headquartered in Tokyo with holdings in 170 companies worldwide. The group, employing approximately 22,500 staff around the globe, operates in the business sectors machine parts, precision machinery, construction machinery, industrial machinery, ships and environmental systems.

STC-Engineering GmbH, founded in 1995, operates in the area of design, development, manufacture, service and maintenance of customised process machinery and systems in the sector of agitator and mixing technology. The company supplies both components and complete systems/modules for process machinery.
