Gleiss Lutz advises the Berylls Group in connection with the acquisition of three companies of automotive supplier MEKU

The Hechinger Group and co-investor the Berylls Group are taking over three insolvent companies of automotive supplier group MEKU:

●             MEKU Elektronische Systeme GmbH headquartered in Bad Dürrheim, a production service provider for electronic components and assemblies;

●             MEKU Mechatronische Systeme GmbH headquartered in Eching, which manufactures mechatronic components with a focus on stamping and bending technologies;

●             MEKU Kunststoff Technologie GmbH headquartered in Villingen-Schwenningen, a  plastic injection moulding company with expertise in overmoulding, 2K and hybrid injection moulding.

The MEKU Group, with its workforce of roughly 200 employees at four sites, provides customers with system solutions, sophisticated industrial parts and assemblies, and acts as a value-creating partner and system supplier for the automotive supplier and plastics industry. A particular focus of the group is on the development and production of mechatronic assemblies and systems for resource-saving e-mobility applications in the mobility industry.

The Berylls Group, with its offices in Munich, Berlin, Zurich, London, Detroit, Shanghai and Seoul combines three services tailored to the automotive industry: top management consulting (Berylls Strategy Advisors), digital business models and transformation (Berylls Digital Ventures) as well as active investment in mobility companies in special situations (Berylls Equity Partners).
