Gleiss Lutz advises Metso Outotec on the sale of its aluminium business to REEL International

A team of Gleiss Lutz lawyers advised the Finnish Metso Outotec Group, which is listed on the Nasdaq Helsinki, as lead counsel on the sale of its aluminium business to the French Group REEL. The aluminium business includes green anode plants, anode rodshops and casthouses used in aluminium smelters as well as related equipment and services.

The parties have agreed not to disclose the purchase price. The transaction is expected to close in the first quarter of 2021.

Metso Outotec is a leading global specialist in sustainable technologies, end-to-end solutions and services for the aggregates, mineral processing, metal refining and recycling industries. The company’s aim is to use innovative technologies to help its customers improve their energy and water efficiency in order to both increase productivity and lower environmental risks.
