Gleiss Lutz advises Mirae on the sale of the Frankfurt “T8”

Gleiss Lutz advised a real estate fund of the South Korean financial service provider Mirae Asset Global Investments on its sale of the office building at Taunusanlage 8 (“T8”) to Wirtgen Invest in an off-market-deal.

The approximately 68 meter high office tower, which was designed by msm Meyer-Schmitz Morkramer and completed in 2016, has been awarded an “LEED Platinum” and a “DGNB Gold” certification. Along with the core tenant Linklaters, the building houses on its 30,000 m² of leased spaces the co-working provider WeWork, the insurance agency FM Global and the real estate undertaking Godewind, among others.

Mirae Asset Global Investments is the largest asset manager in South Korea, managing assets of around USD 129 billion.

Gleiss Lutz had already advised Mirae in 2017 on the purchase of the “T8” building, as well as in 2015/16 on the acquisition of several office buildings around the Cologne Lanxess Arena.
