A Gleiss Lutz team has advised the supervisory board of Volkswagen AG on the administrative order imposing a fine issued by the Braunschweig public prosecutor in the context of the diesel issue.

On 13 June 2018 the Braunschweig public prosecutor issued an administrative order against Volkswagen AG in its capacity as secondary party pursuant to sections 30 para. 1, 130 para. 1 of the German Act on Regulatory Offences (Ordnungswidrigkeitengesetz - OWiG) in the context of the diesel issue.
