COVID-19: Gleiss Lutz remains fully operational and can be reached as normal

Since the appearance of the novel coronavirus SARS-CoV-2, we have been constantly monitoring the situation as well as the recommendations of the competent experts and authorities. We are prepared to respond to new developments with the appropriate measures at any time. In addition to ensuring that ongoing mandates are handled and that we remain available, the health of our employees, clients and business partners as well as their families has top priority.

In order to protect their health and out of a shared responsibility for our fellow citizens who are particularly at risk, we have taken a number of measures. Since the situation has recently worsened, all external and internal meetings will be conducted via telephone or video conference, provided that a face-to-face meeting is not absolutely necessary or required by law. Larger meetings are currently not taking place at all and only essential travel is permitted. We have taken extensive hygiene measures and the intensity and frequency of the cleaning processes have been greatly increased in our offices.

We continue to guarantee the continuity and quality of our services without restriction. Your partners and lawyers can be reached as normal via e-mail and telephone. All lawyers have mobile work stations, which means they can continue to carry out their work to the fullest extent anywhere outside the office.

The central infrastructure and the corresponding personnel are spread over various locations, shifts and home offices, ensuring seamless support for our lawyers and a smooth working process. Our IT systems in particular are protected by special measures for such crisis situations.

Should you have any questions about our procedures and strategy or should you require legal advice in connection with COVID-19, please get in touch with your Gleiss Lutz contact person.
