JUVE Handbook Tax: Gleiss Lutz is Law Firm of the Year for Transactional Tax Advice

Gleiss Lutz has been named Law Firm of the Year for Transactional Tax Advice in the newly published JUVE Handbook Tax.

The laudation emphasises in particular that the team around Dr. Stefan Mayer and Dr. Johann Wagner, has succeeded in "not only setting up the tax structure in the real estate and private equity sector, but also in large corporate deals". JUVE also praises: "The fact that the team has also advised on a large number of large and mid-cap PE and real estate deals and was even able to take on the tax due diligence in some of these speaks for the class of the practice." Appointing Dr. Ocka Stumm as a partner is further proof of the importance of the tax practice and evidence of a successful, future-oriented generation change in the Frankfurt tax team.

"We are very pleased to be named Law Firm of the Year for Transactional Tax Advice. It is a wonderful recognition of the strategic development of our practice," said Dr. Stefan Mayer, head of the tax practice group at Gleiss Lutz. "With our great team, we have successfully developed our practice in important areas and with our new partner Ocka Stumm, a proven expert for transactional tax, we can further strengthen this key area."

Prof. Dr. Michael Arnold and Dr. Alexander Schwarz, Co-Managing Partners at Gleiss Lutz, commented: "Being named Law Firm of the Year for Transactional Tax Advice is a great news and confirms our strategic focus as a firm and our transactional practice. The comprehensive and interdisciplinary legal advice we provide and the forward-looking development of our teams are key factors in our success. To see this recognised for our tax practice is both praise and motivation for the future."
