Three honours at the IFLR European Awards 2008

On March 19, 2008 in London, Gleiss Lutz received the IFLR European Award as “German Law Firm of the Year”. Gleiss Lutz received two additional awards in the categories “Private Equity Deal of the Year” and “Restructuring Deal of the Year”.

On July 5, 2007, Gleiss Lutz was presented with the Financial Times Innovative Lawyers Award 2007 in London in the category "Client Service". The award recognises European law firms for outstanding client focus and creativity in their work.

Legal Business, the leading publication for the international commercial legal profession worldwide, has granted awards in different fields to law firms in jurisdictions throughout Europe. The Legal Business Award in the "European Office of the Year" category went to Gleiss Lutz Stuttgart on February 10, 2005.

The eulogy highlighted Gleiss Lutz' outstanding performance in the field of M&A and private equity: "Building on a stunning year in M&A, Gleiss Lutz has taken the private equity scene by storm with a string of prestigious instructions".

The Acquisitions Monthly Awards ceremony 2005 was held in London on January 19. Unlike many of the top-name London law firms, the "Gleiss Lutz, Herbert Smith, Stibbe" alliance was not only shortlisted, but took second place overall in the "Law Firm of the Year" category and was ranked ''highly recommended''. We see this as further confirmation of our successful "associated but independent" strategy.

Celanese has been selected by Corporate Finance Magazine as the best overall/best US loan deal of the year 2004. The bidder, Blackstone Capital Partners, was represented by Gleiss Lutz.

Gleiss Lutz received the JUVE Award 2004 for "Law Firm of the Year for Dispute Resolution" and "Law Firm of the Year for Labour Law " in Frankfurt on October 14, 2004. JUVE Awards are in honour of law firms in Germany in various jurisdictions. The awards are given on the basis of a comprehensive market analysis by the Juve editorial team in connection with the research for the handbook "JUVE German Commercial Law Firms".

After being presented the award yesterday at the Palais im Zoo in Frankfurt by news reader Eva Hermann, Dr. Martin Diller, Managing Partner of Gleiss Lutz, expressed his satisfaction: "For us the two awards are not only acknowledgement of our achievements over the last few years but are at the same time an incentive to improve even further."
