- Harald specialises in corporate and stock corporation law. He also has extensive experience in advising on accounting regulations and principals.
- He received his doctorate in 1976 and qualified as an auditor in 1978. Harald has been Of Counsel at Gleiss Lutz since 2007. From 1974-1991 Harald had a senior position at Peat Marwick. One year later he was appointed to the management board of KPMG Deut-sche Treuhand-Gesellschaft AG. After that he was the chairman of the accounting and auditing board of the German Institute of Audi-tors for four more years. From 1996-2005 he was a member of the executive committee and international board of KPMG International. Furthermore he was also the management board spokesman of KPMG Deutsche Treuhand-Gesellschaft AG from 1998-2005. At the same time from 2002-2005 he was also chairman of KPMG Europe, Middle East and Africa. From 2003-2005 Harald was chairman of the German Accounting Standards Committee and, in 2006, president of the German Standardisation Council. He sits on a number of super-visory boards and is a honorary professor at the Technical University Berlin since 1999 as well as at the University of Frankfurt since 1995. He speaks German and English.
