- Michael specialises in public construction and planning, contributions and taxes, environmental, constitutional, municipal economic law, private construction law and plant construction contracts. He further advises on PPP projects, especially privately financed traffic infrastructure projects.
- Michael studied at the University of Freiburg. He has been a partner at Gleiss Lutz since 1986. Michael is a certified administrative law attorney. He is an honorary professor at the University of Stuttgart (constitutional and administrative law) and a lecturer at the Université Paris 1 (Sorbonne). He is a member of the Constitutional Law Committee of the German Federal Bar and the “Road Law” Working Committee of the German Road and Traffic Research Association and an executive board member of the German Bar Association's Administrative Law Working Group. Moreover he is an advisory board member of the Zeitschrift baurecht (Journal on Construction Law) as well as co-editor of the Zeitschrift für Umweltrecht (Journal on Environmental Law) and Beck'scher Online-Kommentar zum Öffentlichen Recht (Beck's Online Commentary on Administrative / Public Law). Michael speaks German, English and French.
