- Lars advises on international arbitration and cross-border litigation, with an emphasis on investor-state arbitration. His practice also includes advice on trans-border corporate law issues.
- Lars studied at the universities of Würzburg, Aix-en-Provence/France (Maîtrise en Droit 1999), Washington, D.C. (Georgetown, LL.M. 2006) and Cologne. He has been with Gleiss Lutz since 2009. Lars was admitted in 2007 in the federal state of New York. He worked from 2006–2007 at a law firm in New York. His doctoral thesis “Dispute Settlement Clauses in International Investment Agreements” was awarded the 1st prize by the German Institution of Arbitration in 2011/2012 and the CBH prize of the University of Cologne in 2010. Lars is a lecturer at the University of Speyer (since fall term 2008/2009). He is a member of the German-American Lawyers’ Association (DAJV), the German Institution of Arbitration (DIS), the German Initiative of Young Arbitration Lawyers (DIS 40), the Swiss Arbitration Association (ASA), as well as the Austrian Arbitration Association (ArbAut). Lars speaks German, English, French and Spanish.
